Song

You know Furious 7, right? The street-racing movie was released last April. I haven't watched it yet, though I like street-racing movies, but I know the official soundtrack. The official soundtrack is so popular and it seems like everyone listens to it. Right now, I want to talk about it. The song title is "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth.

The song is generally about friendship. There are several main casts in Fast & Furious series and the two of them are Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). They are close friends in the series. But, in November 2013, Paul Walker passed away in a car accident. At that time, they were in the middle of filming the series' seventh installment. It caused a great impact, especially for Fast & Furious' fans. The movie was still released though, as you know, but it was actually postponed and the director had to change the ending of the film. So, Furious 7 is like a dedication to Paul Walker, so are "See You Again" and the music video.

The sadness is clearly portrayed in the song. Here's the lyrics.

[Charlie Puth:]
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
(Hey)

"My friend" in the first line is referred to Paul Walker.

[Wiz Khalifa:]
Damn, who knew?
All the planes we flew
Good things we've been through
That I'll be standing right here talking to you
'Bout another path
I know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn't last
Had to switch up
Look at things different, see the bigger picture
Those were the days
Hard work forever pays
Now I see you win the better place (see you win the better place)

It's like they are reminiscing about the old days when Paul Walker was still with them. They knew everything wouldn't last, but they didn't expect that Paul would've gone this fast. "Better place" here means heaven, I guess.

Uh
How can we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

"Family" here is referred to their friendship. They've been together as friends for years and they've gone through many ups and downs.

[Charlie Puth:]
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I see you again)
We've come a long way (yeah, we came a long way) from where we began (you know we started)
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I'll see you again (let me tell you)
When I'll see you again

(Aah oh, aah oh
Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)

[Wiz Khalifa:]
{Yeah}
First you both go out your way
And the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turn to a friendship
A friendship turn to a bond
And that bond will never be broken
The love will never get lost (and the love will never get lost)
And when brotherhood come first
Then the line will never be crossed
Established it on our own
When that line had to be drawn
And that line is what we reach
So remember me when I'm gone (remember me when I'm gone)

How can we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

[Charlie Puth:]
So let the light guide your way, yeah
Hold every memory as you go
And every road you take, will always lead you home, ooh ooo oh

This part above is called... Bridge, I guess? I like this part. It's emotional and portrays the feelings well. "So let the light guide your way"... I'm touched. :(

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again

(Aah oh)
{Uh}
(Aah oh)
{Yeah}
(Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
{Ya, ya}
When I see you again
{Uh}
See you again
(Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
{Yeah, yeah, uha}
When I see you again

This is the type of song that you would never get bored of. You would find yourself humming to this song unconsciously when you zoned out (like I do). I really like this song. It's emotional and meaningful.

Thanks to azlyrics.com for the song lyrics.

Bye bye!

Nightingale

Hello! Mrs. Wiwin gave us a task as usual and this time, we have to write about an animal. I decided to write about nightingale because I like the name and I honestly want to know more about this kind of bird.

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Aves
Order: Passeriformes
Family: Muscicapidae
Genus: Luscinia
Species: Luscinia magarhynchos

The nightingale is a small species of bird thought to be formally members of the thrush family. The nightingale is often mistaken for the robin, as the nightingale is about the same size and the female robin is very similar in appearance to the nightingale.

The nightingale is a morning bird and the nightingale can often be heard singing it's loud song at dawn. In urban areas, the nightingale will sing even louder at dawn to make up for the extra background noise.

The nightingale breeds naturally in the European and Asian forests during the summer months and the nightingale then migrates to Africa for the winter, to it's warmer climates. The nightingale returns north in the spring again to nest.

The nightingale is believed to have been named more than 1,000 years ago, with the term nightingale meaning night songstress in Anglo-Saxon. The nightingale was named due to the fact that the nightingale is often heard singing during the night as well as during the day. It is thought that it is the single (unpaired) male nightingales that sing during the night which they do to try and attract a mate.

Nightingales are small birds with the average adult nightingale being around 15cm in height. The nightingale has plain brown feathers covering it's body and is known to have a red-sided tail.

Nightingales are omnivorous birds and feed on a mixture of fruits, seeds, insects and nuts. Nightingales have many predators in their natural environment mainly due to their small size. Predators of the nightingale include mammals such as rats, foxes and cats and reptile's like large lizards and snakes. Nightingales are also hunted by large birds of prey.

Nightingales inhabit thick forests and woodland in Europe and Asia, excluding those that are in the far north. Despite the large number of nightingales present in their natural habitats, nightingales can often be difficult birds to spot. Nightingales can be heard easily due to their loud singing but are often found hiding in dense foliage out of sight.

Nightingales mate in the spring, and the female nightingale build a cup-shaped nest in a dense thicket close to the ground. Nightingale nests are often very hidden from the outside world, and are made up of twigs, leaves and grass. The female nightingale lays between 2 and 5 eggs per clutch, and the nightingale chicks hatch after an incubation period of just a couple of weeks.

Nightingales travel vast distances every year in order to migrate between the north and the south. The average lifespan of the nightingale is around 2 years, although some nightingale individuals (particularly those nightingales in captivity) have been known to live for a far amount longer.

Nightingales are named so because they frequently sing at night as well as during the day. The name has been used for well over 1,000 years, being highly recognizable even in its Anglo-Saxon form - 'nihtingale'. It means 'night songstress'. Early writers assumed the female sang when it is in fact the male. The song is loud, with an impressive range of whistles, trills and gurgles. It's song is particularly noticeable at night because few other birds are singing. This is why it's name includes "night" in several languages.

Only unpaired males sing regularly at night, and nocturnal song is likely to serve attracting a mate. Singing at dawn, during the hour before sunrise, is assumed to be important in defending the bird's territory. Nightingales sing even more loudly in urban or near-urban environments, in order to overcome the background noise. The most characteristic feature of the song is a loud whistling crescendo, absent from the song of Thrush Nightingale. It has a frog-like alarm call.

Dewa Athena

Hi! I want to tell you about an event that was held by OSIS (student council) of SMAN 3 Bandung. It's called Dewa Athena which stands for Olimpiade Siswa Ajang Tunjuk Diri Kebolehan, Kemampuan, dan Kekompakan. It was held on Saturday, 21st February 2015.

I arrived at Bali Field in the morning. People gathered on basketball field. The leader of the event, the chairman of OSIS, and our principal gave opening speech. After that, a student (I don't know who) brought a torch to Mr. Encang, our principal. Dewa Athena was officially started!

After the opening, we ran! Ran from reality! Okay, no. We ran 'around Indonesia' started from Belitung street. Actually, we were walking instead of running, because running is so tiring and wasting energy so yeah. The name of that activity was Color Run, but we were all thinking "where the heck is the 'color'?"

Our question was answered when we came back to Bali Field. The committees sprayed colorful water all over us! Everyone was wearing white clothes (because we had to, the committees said that several days before) and after Color Run, everyone's clothes became colorful, not white-colored anymore. And then, we took photos!

(forgive my face)

On that day, the first day of Dewa Athena, my class had to join three competitions; tug of war, relay, and basketball. I only participated on tug of war. Even though we pulled the rope with all our strength, we lost anyway. :( BUT, the referee said they had to repeat the competition because of some problem. So, we still have chance to win!

My class won the relay and basketball competition, yeay! Sadly, I didn't watch it. Why? Because I had to run and walk and jump and roll (no jk) around Bali Field to finish my LKO (Latihan Kepengurusan OSIS - some kind of training to become a part of OSIS) task, my favorite task ever: asking for signature to OSIS members. In the middle of the day, all of us who joined LKO took a photo with some of OSIS members. The last day of LKO was on 22nd, so we were very busy.

I forgot what time Dewa Athena was ended. My parents picked me up at around afternoon. I was tired, but also happy.

Okay, that's all from me now. Bye bye!

The Beautiful Light Pillars

Hi, guys!
Today is Sunday. Finally, I’m at home. In the past few weeks, I was rarely at home on Sundays because busy, busy, busy. So, when school allows me to stay at home on Sunday, I choose to spend it by getting tasks done. I’ve been rather productive today, which is so not me, so yeay!
Now, I want to tell you about natural phenomenon. Natural phenomenon is an observable event which is not artificial, it’s real. And based on some researches I’ve done, all natural phenomenon is beautiful, breath-taking, left me in awe. But, there’s this one natural phenomenon which I like the most. It’s called light pillars.
Some of you must be confused. What’s that? What does it look like? Is it similar to pillars at buildings?
Well, this is the light pillars.

Beautiful, right?
How does the light pillars happen? I’m gonna explain this with an essay!
Light pillars is a visual phenomenon created by the reflection of light from ice crystals with near horizontal parallel planar surfaces. Generally seen in cold, arctic regions, light pillars are an optical phenomenon where columns of light can be seen emanating from below or above a light source. The light pillar looks like a thin column that extends vertically above and/or below the source of light.
Light pillars caused by the sun are called solar or sun pillars. When the light source is the sun, light pillars are usually seen when the sun is near the horizon. It normally forms an arc that extends from five to ten degrees beyond the solar disc. While those caused by the moon’s light are called lunar or moon pillars.
Light pillars are a little bit different. When most of natural phenomenons are not man-made, light pillars can be formed by man-made light sources, such as streetlights. Because the ice crystals in the atmosphere reflect the source light, light pillars tend to take on the color of the light source, such as blue or red.
Light pillars have also been known to produce UFO reports. Niagara Falls is one such area, where the mist from the Niagara Falls causes the phenomenon to appear frequently during the winter months, where the ice crystals interact with the city's many upward facing spotlights to create prominent light pillars.

(Light pillars in Laramie, Wyoming)

(Sun pillar in San Fransisco, California)

I personally haven’t seen any light pillars yet, even though there are a lot of streetlights in my town. But, I hope one day I can see it with my own eyes!
That’s all from me. I have to study Math because Math exam will be held tomorrow! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. Quadratic equations and inequalities, please be nice to me!
See you in another post~

Ice Cream Advertisement

Hello guys!

Last week, as usual I attended English class on Tuesday. I was sooo tired because my schedule is super packed nowadays. :( I joined LKO (Latihan Kepengurusan OSIS). It's some kind of training to become a part of OSIS. OSIS in English is,,,student council? Or students' union. Or students' association. Yeah, one of those I don't really know.

Also, I have some extracurricular activities too. I joined SPeD 3 (a debate club), Foster (a softball club), and SEF (an English club). Because of that, Lazy-Girl-Dita has changed to Busy-Girl-Dita. I barely have a good sleep. I even barely have a time to breathe properly (okay, jk).

Back to English class. Mrs. Wiwin gave us a task to draw an advertisement. We only had one hour to make it. It took me a few minutes to think. What should I draw?

And then, it hit me. LET'S MAKE AN ADVERTISEMENT ABOUT HANDPHONE! Since I spend 60% of my life by playing handphone. But wait, how about clothes? I could draw some cute clothes. How about perfume? I could draw some perfume bottles and color it with different colors. How about food? FOOD! FOOD FOR THE WIN! Okay, let's make an advertisement about food.

Next problem: What food should I draw?

I like potato, sausage, chips, instant noodle, chocolate, chicken... (gosh, why do I have so many favorite foods?)

...and ice cream.

Ice cream. ICE CREAM! GREAT!

I started to draw some circles. Then, I drew some stars on the top. I kept drawing. I was so serious I ignored everyone.

And then, I colored my drawing with pencil colors.

And then, I wrote some sentence to convince people to buy the ice cream. Of course it's fake. The ice cream is not for sale for real. :))

And then...

TADAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Lemme promote this.

STARBURST ICE CREAM! It's an amazing ice cream. There are six big scoops of ice cream in one bowl. It satisfies your ice cream craving perfectly, and it's only Rp 8.000! Affordable and worth it, right?
There are more than 50 ice cream flavors, like cookies and cream, cappuccino, green tea, bubble gum, taro, rose, honeydew, and many more. You can choose which flavor you want.
Aaand, here's the best part. The ice cream is sprinkled with star-shaped candies! For candy, you can't choose which flavor you want, because it sowed randomly. Also, the color doesn't describe the taste. So, you will be surprised once you chew the candies. It could be regular flavors like lychee, strawberry, orange, or extraordinary flavors like cheese, meat, egg, black pepper, salt, and many more. But, don't worry. The extraordinary flavors are delicious too! You won't throw up after eating it. :))
You can choose the additional toppings too, like waffle, biscuit, caviar, choco chips, and more. Additional topping only cost 2.000 rupiahs!
This delicious, tasty, marvelous, fabulous, awesome ice cream is available in your dream. Buy it now!

If this product ever existed, I would try it. Would you? :))

About the random-flavored-candy thing, Bean Boozled inspired me! It's a random-flavored jelly beans. Some of the flavors are ordinary, like peach, plum, and blueberry. The others are... well, weird, such as toothpaste, rotten egg, booger, and canned dog food. Can you imagine eating something that tastes like booger? OH NO THANKS.

I guess I should end it here. I have a lot things to do. Bye bye!

My Holiday! ♡ - Part 2

I'M BAEK BACK!

Have you read the first part? Read here!

In this post, I will tell you about my holiday in Jakarta. I stayed at Mela’s house (Mela is my cousin I mentioned at the first part). Dita-in-Jakarta was even more unproductive than Dita-in-Bandung. Most of the time I was just laying in bed, playing handphone for hours. Other than that, these are my activites: watching TV, watching my cousins furiously pressing the buttons of Playstation stick, watching movies, munching foods, playing game. I’m not a gamer, but I downloaded a game on my tablet and I have been playing it everyday until now. The game kinda looks like “Tap Tap” and it’s so fun, also addicting. It’s really a waste of time, but it’s holidaaay so who cares!

Other than lazying around at home, sometimes I went out too. Maybe to my another aunt’s house that not so far away, mall, or restaurant. I don’t really remember the order, but I went to some places:

Grand Indonesia. I ate there, a lot. I ate pasta and french fries and tofu and gelato and I don’t know anymore. On the way to there, I passed by the business district of Jakarta and saw many skyscrapers there. It was sooo beautiful I kept looking out of the car’s window. Jakarta is neat on some places, indeed.

IKEA. I window-shopped (?) there. There were so many nice, and some of them cute, furnitures. But it were sooo expensive. I didn’t buy anything there, obviously. :)) Oh, there was a spring bed, for sale of course, but we were allowed to lay down there. The spring bed was so comfortable I could sleep on it for a long time. Compared to my own bed at home... puh-lease.

Cilandak Town Square. I went to Lego store. I thought my little bro would be so happy if I bought him some, so I bought a pack of Spiderman lego. True though, he smiled so wide when I gave him the lego, then he thanked and hugged me. How cute. :))

TPU Pondok Ranggon. We all went to TPU Pondok Ranggon to ‘visit’ my aunt. She’s my mother’s older sister. She passed away at 2013 and I can’t believe it has been a year already. We prayed for her there. Some of us cried, me too. I miss her so much. :(

Planet Hollywood. Me and my mom watched “Merry Riana”. It was an inspiring movie and made me cry!

Oh, I remember! This is a sad story. So Mela and me went to Toko Gunung Agung to buy some stationery. I took a clear file, a tape, a glue, a correction tape, and some pens. When I brought them to cashier... The total price gave me a heart attack. It was 97.600 rupiahs! Just for stationery! I didn’t have money anymore. Our plan to eat and shop after that was ruined, destroyed, scattered into pieces. :( Not only that, on the way back home heavy rain poured from the sky and we were in a freaking motorcycle! When we finally reached home, we were all wet. I was so upset I felt like curling up in bed and ignoring everyone.

About New Year. We didn’t go out at the night when 2014 was changed to 2015. We didn’t celebrate it at road, restaurant, Monas, Bundaran HI, or something. We didn’t even play fireworks or grill some foods. We watched a movie instead, and we were already happy. :)) I spent the night by watching movie with Mela. We watched it on her laptop, in her room, then we turned off the lamp so it felt like we were watching at cinema. I... don’t actually remember what movie we were watching at that time, maybe because we have watched so many movies on this holiday. The movie we watched back then was either Dear John, If I Stay, or Begin Again.

Yeah, basically my holiday in Jakarta was 60% at Mela’s home 40% hang out. But I’m okay with that. For me, holiday is when you can do whatever you want. Holiday is a “Me Time”. So, when I chose to spend most of my holiday by staying at home, no one could blame me, though. :))

Same things happened when I was in Bandung again for the last week of holiday. I was still lazying around, I was still playing gadgets (handpone - tab – laptop – handphone – tab – laptop, and so on). Yeah, I’m a lazy girl, indeed.

I don’t know what to tell anymore. The point is, yes, I’m happy! I have downloaded games, musics, movies, and everybody knows I can’t do that at school days. I became closer with my family because we had quality times together. I had enough sleep. I ate many foods (hopefully I can reach 55 kg this month so I won’t look like a freaking branch anymore, amin). I laughed a lot this whole holiday. I feel refreshed. I think I’m ready to go back to school and study harder than ever!

...
...
...

Okay, no. I can’t guarantee that HAHAHA. But, I will try, of course. I’m a bit dissapointed with my IPK last semester, so I have to fix that.

Well, I think I should end it here. I’m sorry this post is... messy? I literally just wrote eveything that came to my mind. I’m sorry. :((( Bye bye!

My Holiday! ♡ - Part 1

Hello guys! This time, I want to tell you about my holiday. This is, like, the longest holiday ever. Well, maybe the second after the holiday after the final exams when I was in junior high school.

Why is that? Because the holiday is 18 days long. It almost three weeks long and it's unusual, okay. Usually, it's just two weeks.

I had sooo much fun, of course!

On the first week, my cousin came from Jakarta. Her name is Mela. I'm very close to her, because we're on the same age and we have the same interests. We also share the same sense of humor. We literally laugh at everything, even if it not so funny for other people. :))

I spent most of my holiday with her. Most of the time on the first days, we kinda did nothing productive like cook something or clean the house. We were just laying on our beds, playing handphone, watching movies, talking, joking around. I remember, I watched Supernova in the cinema with her. We laughed at not-so-funny things that were happened in the movie and when we came out of the studio, we only understood, like, 65% of the story. It was a good-but-confusing-you-feel-like-ripping-your-head-off movie. JK I'M JUST EXAGGERATING. You don't wanna rip your head off, but the story was confusing indeed.

We also watched The Maze Runner for 93234823 times because it was a very good movie and there were many laughable things in it... yeah. Also, the casts were good-looking. :))

A few days later, Mela's family and my aunt's family came from Jakarta. My house was suddenly full of people. On the next day, we all went to Villa Istana Bunga at Lembang. The villa was cozy, but the air was very cold. I had to wear jacket and long pants all the time. The water was very cold too. Thank God there was a water heater so I could take a shower comfortably.

In the villa, we all were lazying around. At night, we went dinner at a restaurant a little bit far from the villa. I ordered a soup and gosh, eating a hot soup when you feel like dying because of the cold air is the best.

We bought some foods on the way back to villa. After a long fun talk with my family, finally I could sleep at... past 12 AM I guess. I woke up with a flu. :( I hate it. :(

I made an instant noodle for breakfast. Sooo not healthy but yeah, it already happened. :( After that, I slept again because it's holiday for God's sake you will not be able to sleep again in the morning at school days. At noon, we prepared everything and checked out. But first, we took some photos in front of the villa.

We had lunch at Ampera restaurant. We planned to go to Floating Market, but the traffic jam was crazy! We stuck for, like, five hours or something. So, the plan was cancelled. Too bad, because I wanted to go to Floating Market so badly. When we finally reached home, I went straight to my room and jumped to bed. I was sooo tired.

The next day, we all went to Jakarta. But before that, there were several things I did. First, I went to school to give the SKS form. Second, I went to Pitimoss, a library, to borrow Allegiant and The Maze Runner. Third, I ate meatballs at a street vendor at Anggrek street. Finally, we went to Jakarta.

About my holiday in Jakarta, I will write it on the next post. Bye!
