Hi! Long time no see! It has been a long time since I posted
something here. I have been busy with freaking homeworks, never-ending
homeworks! God, it’s driving me crazy.
Okay, let’s not talk about homeworks anymore because it will
waste my time LOL. Our topic now is... MATSWAPATI!
*throws confetti*
What is Matswapati? Is it a place’s name? Is it some kind of
food? Well, NO. It’s a cultural festival that was held by SMAN 3 Bandung, which
is my school. Actually, the event’s name was inspired by a puppet called Prabu
Matswapati. It’s a cool name, right? :)
The event was held on Saturday, 27th September 2014. The
purpose of the event is to introduce Sundanese culture and to make everyone
loves their own culture. I worked for Matswapati in Decoration division. It was
fun.
On Saturday morning, we joined a parade to invite everyone
to come to Matswapati. We walked ‘around Indonesia’ started from Belitung
street. We held a banner and sang. When we came back to Bali Field, people were
everywhere.
At around 10 AM, the event was officially opened. There
were so many performers, such as Wayang Golek Griharja, Saung Angklung Udjo,
and many more. There were performers from our school too, such as KV3, LSS, T’sT,
KPA, and MK. But, I didn’t watch all of the performances because I couldn’t
stand in front of the stage for too long. For your info, it was sooooooooo
hot! The sun was right above our heads. It was hot as hell and made me a little
bit dizzy. So, I spent the time mostly in my class’ stand or in Foodfest, where
foods are everywhere (YASSS IT WAS HEAVEN).
Then, I went to BIP with my friends because we were hungry.
It was so easy to go in and out because I was the committee. All I had to do
is flash the committee nametag. :)) In BIP, we ate at McDonald’s. At around 4 PM,
we went back to Matswapati. It was getting late and Bali Field was very crowded with
people. I met some of my old friends and I was really, really happy to see them.
We took selfies. Lot of selfies.
(some of our selfies, look at those happy faces!)
We talked about many things. It felt like a reunion. After that, Barsena performed. He was so good. And finally... It's Glenn Fredly's time to perform! All people gathered in front of the stage, with phone, tablet, or camera in hand. Luckily, I stood at the centre near the stage. The view of the stage was great from this position. Not so long after, Glenn Fredly started to sing. He sang many songs and we sang along. I like how Glenn Fredly tried to communicate with the audience. He was so friendly to us, no awkwardness at all. It felt like we talked to a friend, not a celebrity. I really, really enjoyed his performance. I took some photos and recorded some videos. Take a look!

I forgot what time the event was ended, but it was almost midnight. So, I chose to sleepover at Azka's house. I felt really happy. I hope this kind of event become an annual event!
